Flight

November 8 2009--Today I was working on the file from the Scotland trip in July 2008. It brought back great memories of the people, places and experiences from that wonderful country. The trip was to trace the roots of my friend and her Scottish ancestors who had immigrated in 1889 to the United States. We traveled from Edinburgh to the Midlothians to Angus to Arbroath to Fife and the people, places and experiences were wonderful. I hope to share some of these with you so check back to see what I dig up.

Sunrise somewhere over the North Sea on the way to Scotland.

Barb out and about in the world with her bag and tickets.

Edinburgh--sunrise, gulls warming themselves on the chimneys. A Room with a View.

Edinburgh--Ahhhhh, something familiar to start the day.

OCTOBER 2011

I have returned to the Scotland Porfolio to pick up where I left off. Since I started to work on these image a lot has happened. I now have an iPhone and IPad loaded with great Aps. I really like the new world it has opened up. I think I can get some of the "attitute" I experienced in Scotland without the snapshot look and feel of some of the shots I came home with.

This image is from Edinburgh and it is the Burns Monument in the center of town near where we stayed and was one of the first things I saw on our first evening we walked. I ran it through a vintage ap, tweaked a little in photoshop and voila! I am going to add some more soon.
